If you’d like to learn more about the Critically Endangered Sociable Lapwing, I’ll be giving a talk this week for the Bromley RSPB Local Group. The talk is on Wednesday 9th January at the Bromley United Reformed Church, Widmore Road, BR1 1RY. Doors open at about 6.30pm and the talk is scheduled to start at 7.00pm.

The talk will focus on the research and conservation work that has been undertaken since 2005 on the breeding grounds of Kazakhstan as well as many of the range states along the migration routes. Over the years the work has been funded by RSPB, BirdLife International, Swarovski Optik, the Darwin Initiative, the Mohammed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund, and many others.

You can learn more about the Bromley RSPB Local Group via their Facebook page.
