Project management
I can help with developing new conservation projects and initiatives, from the concept stage to project delivery. Whatever your requirement I will work closely with you to ensure a bespoke service to match each client’s specific needs.
Management planning
I can help develop and advise on management planning for protected areas, nature reserves or threatened species. Each management plan can be tailored to meet the specific needs of individual clients. Reviews of action plans and their success can also be undertaken to help improve their effectiveness. I am also able to work with clients to develop training programmes on management planning.
Project reviews and conservation problem solving
An important aspect of project management is the review process and the resolution of problems. I offer an independent, external review process that can help assess project progress and offer solutions to solving problems.
Meeting and workshop facilitation
Issues and projects often benefit from a fully independent external facilitation process. I offer a completely independent facilitation service that helps identify problems, seeks solutions and develops a plan of action. External facilitation can be used to help develop and review organizational strategies, implement organizational change and review projects and initiatives.
Interim Management
I can provide short-term interim management cover for projects or organisations during periods of change or following the sudden departure of staff. Interim cover could be full or part-time for periods of up to 6 months, and I can often start at short notice.
Research and monitoring
I can help develop new research and monitoring projects, as well as review existing projects and programmes. Specific projects can be undertaken from the initial research design to the final report and publication stage. Areas of specific expertise include ornithological research and mammal surveys. Working with a number of experienced wildlife biologists, I can offer specific expertise in the use of camera traps to undertake mammal research and monitoring.
